There are so many helpful apps for students to benefit from. The fact that they can connect to the classroom's smart boards is amazing! Also, the boost tool is really cool as well. I have never heard of it but it sounds like it would be a real successful tool for students with special needs.Ali Jensenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07513129989941312769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6607197320394622484.post-6609415199128890852011-11-23T12:58:13.975-08:002011-11-23T12:58:13.975-08:00Very interesting coming across your blog, because ...Very interesting coming across your blog, because a lot of the tools you chose to write about, I did as well. Like the food chart for example. Something I didn't read about was the boost tool. This sounds like a really cool like that can really helps students. Something as simple as making things bigger or changing colors can make such an impact for some students, while other children take simple things like these for granted. I really enjoyed reading about your tools. :)Terre Shoemakerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10487667189845185470noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6607197320394622484.post-35984968489240852912011-09-14T10:53:59.352-07:002011-09-14T10:53:59.352-07:00You grew up in New Hampshire?? I also went to Mira Costa and just transferred. Hopefully we'll have a good first semester :)Ali Jensenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07513129989941312769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6607197320394622484.post-68916910760808703852011-09-06T09:01:36.023-07:002011-09-06T09:01:36.023-07:00Wow, small world is right! I still drop it in every now and then without realizing it I suppose.
The picture in my post is from the narrows river trail at Zion National Park, and the pic for my profile is on the Half Dome hike at Yosemite. I love being outdoors- does everyone how about the excursions set up by CSUSM Campus Recreation? Check it out at the Clarke!KDupuishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00269918109066009018noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6607197320394622484.post-17689615451138855072011-09-05T21:13:14.590-07:002011-09-05T21:13:14.590-07:00Hello fellow Katherine!! :) I really enjoyed readi...Hello fellow Katherine!! :) I really enjoyed reading more about who you are and where you've come from! I didn't know that you were from New Hampshire, but now that i do I can totally see the East Coast in you! I have a lot of family in New Hampshire and I've always kind of picked up on the little idiosyncrasies from them. Do you say "wicked" by any chance? :) I'm really glad to have met you and I can't wait to see where the next couple years will take us! (*side note: where was you picture taken up top? I love to hike and it looks like a cool place!)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03126478855677516840noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6607197320394622484.post-20439984552143569202011-09-05T13:07:09.316-07:002011-09-05T13:07:09.316-07:00What a change from New Hampshire! I've been back there twice to visit her childhood home and the area. It is definitely a lot different there but very beautiful.

I also studied child development before liberal studies and worked as a preschool teacher for a long time.

Welcome to California! I'm a native Californian but I grew up outside of San Francisco so there are still a million things I want to see in Southern California too. It's a great place to explore.Krista Sargenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05503966943180165902noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6607197320394622484.post-2512082204948742292011-09-05T11:22:55.623-07:002011-09-05T11:22:55.623-07:00The west coast has been treating me well. I haven't made it past Seattle, or even ventured into Mexico, but I'm enamored by everything in between. It's a much different lifestyle here, and I am happy to be part of the California culture.KDupuishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00269918109066009018noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6607197320394622484.post-49829373673658720542011-09-04T22:37:56.821-07:002011-09-04T22:37:56.821-07:00Great call in the Mac! :D How are you liking the w...Great call in the Mac! :D How are you liking the west coast so far?Sharon Choihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13165733046056441227noreply@blogger.com
